Start up

This is the inaugural post for this Blog. My idea behind setting up the blog is to use it to illustrate and teach the importance of statistical and scientific thinking in prediction and everyday life. My hope is to be able to show, using common examples and topical news stories how scientific and statistical thinking can be properly used. Eventually I would hope that there will be dialogue, special topics, tips and teachings, etc.

We, of course will see how it all goes.
